Belarus. On introduction of the temporary load restrictions for axles of vehicles with regard to National public roads in the summer time period 2017

In accordance with the Decree №10 of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus dated April 3, 2017, the summer time restrictions concerning the vehicles with the maximum single axle loads no exceeding 6t. will be enforced from May 23 to August 31, 2017 (hereinafter – the summer time restrictions). These restrictions will be effective from 11:00h. a.m. to 08:00h. p.m. inclusive at a daily air temperature above +25 °C in relation to the National highways of Belarus with asphalt concrete pavement.

The summer time temporary axle load restrictions do not apply to:
- vehicles while driving on the toll roads (sections of the toll roads) of the Republic of Belarus in accordance with Annex 2 to the Decree №3
- vehicles, involved in the transport of animal waste for its disposal and/or recycling
- vehicles, self-propelled vehicles, carrying out activity on maintenance, repair and development (construction, renovation) of public roads;
- vehicles, self-propelled vehicles, transports related to the prevention and elimination of emergency situations and the consequences of accidents.
- vehicles, self-propelled vehicles carrying passengers, live animals, flowers, humanitarian aid, bitumen road, concrete and asphalt mixtures, dangerous goods, grain, mixed fodders, seed stock, milk and dairy products, as well as goods transported in specialized cargo vehicles with an isothermal body (isothermal vans, refrigerators and tanks), for the preservation of which a special temperature and sanitary-hygienic regime is required.
