Belarus. New toll rates for the public roads will come into force from 1 January 2015

The Transport Inspection of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus informs that according to the amendments to the Tax Code of the Republic of Belarus for the year 2015 the toll rates for the public roads will be changed. In compliance with the new regulation starting from 1st January 2015 the following rates will be applied depending on the type of the vehicle and its total permitted weight:
for a truck (hauler) with or without a trailer (semitrailer):
less or 12t inclusive 30 Euro;
more than 12t  55 Euro;
for a bus/coach:
less or 5t inclusive  30 Euro;
more than 5t  45 Euro.

Moreover, in case the Belarusian permits «П» series of the year 2014 form are used in January 2015, according to the procedure determined by the bilateral agreements, toll road charge is paid at the rates effective on 1st January 2015.

At the same time it was announced that the procedure of payment for the toll roads functioning this year is not going to be significantly changed in 2015.

For the violation prevention purposes of Belarusian legislation the foreign road transport operators are highly advised to take the above-mentioned information into consideration when entering the Republic of Belarus.

Note: this information is relevant for the countries that receive from the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus permits for the transportation of passengers or goods through the territory of Belarus with payment of toll road («П» series).
