Introduction in 2020 of the temporary restrictions on the axle loads of vehicles from 1 July

In accordance with the Regulation of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus from 16 June 2020 № 34 «On the introduction in 2020 of the temporary restrictions on the axle loads of vehicles, self-propelled vehicles» the temporary restrictions are introduced - from 1 July to 20 September 2020 the maximum permissible load on a single axis of vehicles, self-propelled vehicles when driving on republican public roads with asphalt concrete pavement from 11 hours 00 minutes to 20 hours 00 minutes inclusive at a daily air temperature above 25°C should not exceed 6 tons.

These restrictions are not intended to apply:

– to sections of toll roads;

– M-14 highway Second ring road around the city of Minsk;

– section of the highway R-80 Sloboda - Papernya, km 0 - km 15.

Currently, the decision has been sent to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus for a mandatory legal examination and will enter into force after its official publication.

In accordance with the Regulation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus from 18 April 2008 in the event of a threat to the road safety, the road owners have the right, prior to the official publication of the Regulation of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus from 16 June 2020 № 34, to introduce, as agreed with the Main Department of the State Automobile Inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Department of the State Automobile Inspection of the Department of Internal Affairs, temporary (for up to 10 days) restrictions on the mass and load on the axles of vehicles, self-propelled vehicles.
